Caring for Your Mubsie Bottle

A little care keeps your bottle clean, fresh, and safe for your baby. Here's everything you need to know.

✨ Before First Use

Wash all parts with warm water and mild soap. Then boil them for 5 minutes and let them air dry.

🍼 Daily Cleaning

  • Rinse the bottle with water right after every feed, so milk doesn't dry and stick.
  • Wash it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft bottle brush before the next use.
  • Take the bottle apart fully and clean each part, including the nipple and vent.
  • Throw away any leftover formula. Never save it for the next feed.

💧 Milk Stuck to the Bottle?

If milk dries before you rinse, it can stick to the silicone. Don't worry, it comes off easily:

  1. Soak the bottle in warm water with a little white vinegar for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Wash it with mild soap and a soft brush.
  3. Rinse well and let it dry.

🌿 Getting Rid of Smells

Silicone can hold on to smells, especially from milk. This is normal and fades after a few boils.

For quicker results:

  1. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to a bowl of water.
  2. Soak the bottle in it overnight.
  3. Rinse well, then let it air dry in sunlight near a window.

  • Nipple: every 2 months
  • Bottle: every 4 months

For best hygiene, stick to this schedule even if the bottle still looks fine.

🔍 Check Before Every Use

Look over the bottle and nipple before each feed. Replace them right away if you notice:

  • Cracks, cuts, or tears
  • A sticky or rough surface
  • Changes in shape or size
  • A nipple hole that has become bigger

How do I choose the right nipple flow? +
Every baby feeds at their own pace. As a simple guide: Slow flow: best for newborns and younger babies Medium flow: for babies who feed comfortably Fast flow: for older babies who finish feeds quickly If your baby is gulping, coughing, or leaking milk, the flow may be too fast. If they seem frustrated or take too long, it may be time to size up.
Can the bottle be used in a microwave? +
Yes, the bottle is heat-resistant and can safely withstand temperatures up to 180°C. It can be used in the microwave for warming when needed. However, frequent microwaving may shorten the lifespan of the bottle, and uneven heating can affect milk quality. For best results, we recommend warming milk using warm water. If you do microwave, always remove the nipple and cap, gently swirl the milk, and check the temperature before feeding.
